This slot is set up in exactly the same way as you might find if playing a classic slot machine at a casino twenty or thirty years ago, with large buttons just below the reels to activate the game. The symbols are all displayed on a stone background, the majority of them being human or animal forms in a hieroglyphic style accompanied by a playing card symbol. You’ll also choose both the coin value and the coin amount to give you a total stake for each spin. You’ll win by landing consecutive symbols from left to right on a win line, some symbols paying out when landing three or more, while others will pay when landing just 2 – this making for something of a low variance slot where you’ll win often.

The King Tut symbol is wild and acts slightly differently to a standard wild. Yes, it will substitute for any other symbol (apart from the scatter / feature symbols) but every wild multiplies the size of the win by 2. This means that 2 wilds has a 4x multiplier and 3 or 4 wilds have an 8 or 16 times multiplier respectively. This can lead to huge wins, especially considering that 4 wilds on a win line will guarantee you gaining 5 of a kind with a 16x multiplier – nice work if you can get it!

This slot has two scatter symbols. The first is the mummy, which will activate the free spins round when landing 3 or more. Secondly there is the Scarab symbol which activates the Scarab feature when landing on reels 1, 3 and 5.

The Purse of the Mummy Features

If landing just three of the mummy scatter symbol you’ll gain 5 free spins, but for each additional mummy symbol you can add an extra 10 free spins. The free spins round is one which can be activated again during the feature and has a hefty 5x multiplier for any win.

The Scarab Sprint feature sees the Scarab in a race. Simply choose which one you think will win and the higher they finish the larger the prize.

Purse of the Mummy Slot Conclusion

At first glance you might think that this slot has not too much to offer, but it is one that certainly grows on you. Like most Saucify games it plays perfectly on mobile phones and tablets, which is great if you play on the move. The multipliers with the wilds is a particularly good aspect to the slot, meaning a very large win is only ever moments away – the free spins and the Scarab sprint nice extras. The only addition I’d make to the slot would be a mute button – the sound becoming a little too much at times. Overall, this slot wouldn’t feature in my top ten, but it is certainly one I’d consider playing again.
