Asian Delights

Red is definitely the colour of choice in Lotus Love; the reel grid is red, there are red flowers along the bottom of the screen and the character symbols are wearing traditional red clothing. Symbols on the reels themselves include golden numbers, from 6 through to 9, and two letters from the Chinese alphabet. At maximum bet, five 8 or 9 icons yield 210 for five and 105 for four. Five golden Chinese letters, meanwhile, pays 300 for five and 180 for four.

The two character symbols are a Chinese man and woman. While the man pays 1,050 for five and 450 for four, the woman pays a staggering 3,750 for five and 750 for four.

The final three icons are of a decorative white cake, a red-and-gold notebook and a bouquet of red flowers. The latter is the scatter, and is able to trigger free spins: just land three or more anywhere. The scatter also pays 7,500 for five and 1,500 for four. Five notebooks pays 750, while five cakes pays 7,500. The cake is the wild, and can substitute for all others in the game to help you form winning combinations. It cannot, however, replace the scatter.

2-Way Pay

When you land three or more wild symbols, you will automatically activate the 2-Way Pay feature. For the subsequent ten spins, all winnings are counted on active pay-lines from both left-to-right and right-to-left. Landing five symbols in a row is thus counted both ways, rewarding double winnings.

Hitting three or more scatters during 2-Way Pay instantly grants you an allocation of ten free spins. Your 2-Way Pay spins are put on hold during these free spins; when the ten run out, your remaining 2-Way Pay spins automatically resume.

Landing three or more wilds during free spins grants you 2-Way Pay for ten spins directly after your free spins run out.

Dare you gamble?

After any win, players can opt to roll the dice in an attempt to double their winnings. Just click the Gamble button, then cross your fingers. The gamble screen features a Chinese banknote, a red envelope and a Bank of China cheque. It’s as simple as choosing the banknote or the cheque; thereafter, the envelop will spin a few times before you find out what’s inside. If you guess right, you double up; if you guess wrong, you lose the lot.

Players are able to gamble up to ten times in a row, or until winnings equal 10,000. You can halt the gamble at any time by hitting Collect, at which point you’ll be returned, like a child who’s lost its mommy, to the base game. Note, you cannot access the gamble feature while Autoplay is activated.
