Welcome to a Unique Show

House of Freaks takes place under the main tent, where an amazing and unique show is about to take place.

The reels of the game are under the spotlight, framed by extravagant gold and red abstract ornaments. The background only shows the striped motive of the tent, and not much more.

The music adds to the mysterious and somewhat ominous atmosphere of the show, without being of exceptional quality. In a nutshell, House of Freaks does not have any exceptional qualities as far as design is concerned, but it still manages to create a rather peculiar and intriguing atmosphere far removed from stock Circus themed games.

Navigating the Game

In order to make the best out of House of Freaks, and to put all chances on your side, a quick review of the rules is in order.

You have five reels and a maximum of 15 paylines to bet on, and most parameters of the game are customisable. Hit the Gear icon located in the upper left-hand corner of the game screen to access the settings menu that appears on the other side of the giant safe door. Several (+) and (-) switches appear there to let you activate or deactivate paylines, as well as to set the value of your bet per line, for instance. Remember that the amount of your future cash rewards depends on both the nature of the symbols lining up on activated paylines and the size of your initial bet. Taking risks can pay, and bold players will be rewarded accordingly! The Bet Max button on the main screen is there to let you go all-in with a single click. Otherwise, when you feel ready, hit the Spin button located on top of the reels to validate your settings and get the game started – and remember to cross all your fingers!

After each successful spin you have the option to play a double-or-nothing mini game by clicking the Gamble button. If you give guess correctly the colour of the mask, your wins will be doubled immediately! A wrong guess will end the mini game and take your new coins away, so think twice before you make a decision. An Intriguing Menu

Given the settings of the game, you will probably be expecting a vast array of strange and unique symbols to be spinning of the reels of House of Freaks.

However, most of the included paytable is filled with classic card symbols, ranging from number 9 to the Ace in ascending order of value. Their payouts are rather low, but they will show up frequently on the reels throughout your game.

House of Freaks started out as very promising, and it is an entertaining slot game, but the small amount of original symbols is a let-down. Perhaps beginner players will appreciate it more than seasoned veterans of Booming games such as Hero Glyphics will!
