WSOP.com NJ welcome bonuses details

Here is a rundown of the welcome bonus you’ll find at WSOP New Jersey.

WSOP NJ 100% deposit match

WSOP.com NJ offers a 100% match deposit bonus up to $1,000. This bonus can only be claimed on your first payment, so if you make a deposit of $100 and then follow up with another payment, you're only going to receive $100. The bonus must be cleared by earning loyalty points, called APPs.

Here's how it works. Every time you earn 50 APPs, WSOP.com will release $5 of your available bonus into your account.

You have 90 days to clear the entire bonus. Should you fail to do that, you forfeit any remaining promotional money. In addition, new customers can claim seven tournament tickets for $100 freerolls during their first week on the WSOP.com NJ network.

WSOP NJ $100 in bonus play

You also get up to $100 in bonus play. The amount of bonus play dollars you get is based on how much money you deposit. Here’s the breakdown at WSOP New Jersey:

  • Deposit between $10-$250 and get $25 in bonus play
  • Deposit between $251-$500 and get $50 in bonus play
  • Deposit between $501-$999 and get $75 in bonus play
  • Deposit $1,000 or more and get $100 in bonus play

Promotions and benefits

Cashing in on WSOP Points isn't the only way to get more bang for your buck at WSOP.com NJ. All Action Club members can participate in a $500 Weekly Invitation Freeroll tournament, which begins at 6 p.m. every Sunday. In addition, players who manage to reach Gold or higher status will receive a free ticket to a satellite to the weekly $20K Sunday Guarantee tournament.

WSOP.com NJ additionally offers limited-access bonuses and promotional tournaments, available exclusively to specific customer groups. For example, Senior Special promotions are available only to players aged 50 and over, while the $1,000 Hero Freeroll tournament is available exclusively to the people serving in the Fire Department, the Police Force, and the United States Armed Forces.

Limited-time promotions

Aside from the aforementioned tournaments and promotions, WSOP.com NJ also gives you access to a wide range of limited-time promotions, such as freerolls, leaderboards with bonus money and other prizes, and free tournament tickets in exchange for meeting various poker milestones.

WSOP.com NJ loyalty program

WSOP.com NJ's loyalty program is called Poker Rewards. It allows players to accumulate Action Player Points (APPs), which are earned at a rate of 2 APPs per $1 paid in rake and tournament fees. Each player is placed in a tier based on the number of points earned, and APPs are reset on the first of each month.

Standard tiers range from Player (all players start here) to Elite (1,500 APPs per month). There's also the Champions Club, which is an elite tier available to players who manage to earn 20,000 APPs in a calendar year.

Players who reach Bronze tier will have their APPs converted to WSOP Points. To reach Bronze tier, you must accumulate 200 APPs in a month, which costs $100 in rake or tournament fees.

The amount of WSOP Points you receive per APP point scales with rank:

  • Player: none
  • Bronze: 4
  • Silver: 10
  • Elite: 12.5
  • Champions club: 16

For example, a Bronze player who accumulated 300 APPs will receive 300×4 = 1,200 WSOP Points.

100 WSOP Points can be converted to $1 in unrestricted cash. You can redeem points by navigating to “My profile" → “My rewards" → “Convert" from the main lobby.

If you have a Caesars Entertainment Caesars Rewards account, you can connect it to your WSOP NJ profile. This way, for every APP you earn, you'll also receive one Caesars Rewards Tier Credit.

If a player fails to obtain at least one WSOP Point during a six-month period, any unspent WSOP Points will automatically expire.

Example scenarios

Worst-case scenario:

You pay $100 in rake in January. This earns you 200 APPs, which is the minimum required to enter Bronze tier.

Bronze-tier players receive a 4x APP-to-WSOP-Points multiplier, which in this case translates to 200×4 = 800 WSOP Points.

You can now exchange your Points for $8 – an 8 percent rakeback deal. APPs reset at the beginning of each month, meaning you'll have to accumulate another 200 APPS to be promoted to Bronze, and receive rakeback, in February.

Best-case scenario:

Pay $10,000 in rake in a calendar year to accumulate 20,000 APPs and enter Champions Club. Receive 20,000×16 = 320,000 WSOP Points and redeem them for $3,200 in cash. That's a 32 percent rakeback deal.

Important: Unlike other NJ online poker sites, WSOP.com NJ allows new customers to start at a loyalty tier that's equivalent to the level they managed to reach with their previous poker site. Contact WSOP's support team for details.

WSOP.com NJ poker software

WSOP.com NJ is powered by Dragonfish, a proprietary poker room software package designed by 888 Holdings. The downloadable client application is available for Windows and Mac OS computers. The download is mandatory, as there's no browser-based client.

As you'd expect from a major poker site, the interface and lobby layout are intuitive, and the game-filtering options are more than adequate, allowing you to list available games based on stakes, format, and player count.

The only gripe we've had is that the software isn't updated frequently, giving certain portions of the lobby an outdated feel – and not in a good way.

On a brighter note, security is top-notch, as all sensitive data transmissions are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. The site is also perfectly compatible with PokerTracker, which makes it a solid choice for all professional grinders.

WSOP.com NJ mobile poker software

WSOP.com NJ's mobile application can be downloaded from both the iTunes store and the Google Play Store. The minimum system requirements are as follows:

  • iOS: iOS 6.1 or better; iPod touch 4, iPad with retina display, iPad 2, iPhone 4 or better.
  • Android: Android 2.3 or better, at least 256 MB of RAM and an ARMv7/x86 processor with vector FPU, 550MHz or faster.

The app launches quickly and runs smoothly on both devices, but like all the other real money NJ poker apps it requires a steady internet connection. If your connection is unstable, we recommend sticking to play money games. Minimum network requirements are as follows:

  • – Download speed: 256kb/s
  • – Upload speed: 64kb/s

Mobile poker games

WSOP.com NJ's mobile app lets you participate in cash games and tournaments, but the number of available formats isn't all that impressive. The app supports fixed-limit Hold'em, no-limit Hold'em, as well as Sit and Go's.

Mobile features

Aside from playing poker, the app allows you to redeem bonuses, make deposits, request withdrawals, and display account information including your balances. You can also use the app to manage your loyalty points.

The biggest drawback is the lack of information pertaining to ongoing limited-time promotions, which makes it mandatory to access the WSOP's website or desktop for any details on the topic.

Overall it's a decent app that will keep you entertained while on the go. However, it's definitely not a worthy replacement of the downloadable software. We recommend using the desktop lobby for all longer sessions.

Poker games at WSOP.com NJ

Cash games

Cash games aren't WSOP.com NJ's strongest suit – everything is fairly basic and most people are playing No-Limit Hold'em. Fixed Limit Hold'em games are also available, but finding a table can be difficult, particularly during off-hours. During peak hours, you'll usually find about nine or ten full-ring games, with stakes ranging from $0.01/$0.02 to $10/$20.

Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, and Stud are also available, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a full game in the middle of the week outside of peak hours. Available stakes range from $0.10/$0.20 to $10/$20.

Sit and go tournaments

Sit and Go's are quick and easy to launch, but the number of active tournaments isn't impressive and usually ranges from 10 to 20, depending on the time of day. Despite the fact that WSOP.com NJ supports multiple SnG formats, everyone seems to be playing Hold'em exclusively, with buy-ins ranging from $1 to $25.

Consequently, if you're interested in playing Pot-Limit Omaha or Omaha Hi/Lo, you should consider sticking to PokerStars NJ. No-Limit Hold'em is king there too, but you'll get way more action regardless of the hour.

Multi-table tournaments

This is where WSOP.com NJ truly shines. There are dozens of tournaments scheduled each day, so you're guaranteed to find plenty of action. Buy-ins range from $1 to $500. Below you will find a shortlist of recurring tournaments that you may want to try out:

$10K Sunday Guarantee

One of the biggest and most-popular tournaments hosted by WSOP.com NJ. The event is No-Limit Hold'em, $100 buy-in, and players start with 4,000 chips. Levels are 15-minutes long. Registration starts four hours prior to the scheduled launch, and late registrations are allowed for two hours.

Weekend Warriors

Win your share of a guaranteed $100K prize pool by participating in one of the multiple tournaments.

The first, $10,000 The Ultimate Warrior, begins on Friday at 6 p.m. ET. The buy-in is $100.

This is followed by a series of $4,000, $5,000, and $10,000 Lightning Warrior, Warriors' Opening Strike, and The Ultimate Warrior tournaments, with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $100. The event culminates in yet another The Ultimate Warrior tournament on Sunday, only this time with a much higher guarantee and a buy-in of $215.

$5K Nightly R&A

This event features a $15 buy-in, 4,000 chips, and a $5,000 guarantee. This tournament is available every night, starting at 8 p.m. Registration remains open until 10 p.m.

WSOP.com NJ banking options

WSOP.com NJ supports the following deposit methods ($10 min) :

  • PayPal – instant payments, very popular. Comes with our highest recommendation.
  • ACH (bank transfer) – a secure and convenient method with no major drawbacks.
  • MasterCard/Visa – not recommended, as even legal gambling-related transactions tend to get blocked.
  • PayNearMe – print out a slip and take it to your local 7-Eleven.
  • Cash Cage Deposit – a good option if you play poker or other casino games in Caesar's Atlantic City. Bring a valid ID.

Withdrawal options are limited to:

  • Neteller
  • ACH
  • Bank draft
  • Reverse withdrawal requests

Please note that you'll have to verify your account in order to request a cashout. Payment processing times are very reasonable – in most cases, you should receive your money within three or four days, unless you've ordered a check by courier. In such a scenario, you might need to wait up to eight days.

WSOP.com NJ customer service

WSOP.com NJ's customer support team can be reached via the following channels:

Email: [email protected]
Phone: 855-218-6232

Phone support is available around the clock. The call center deals exclusively with WSOP customers from New Jersey, meaning you're guaranteed prompt and adequate help.

E-mail support is quite responsive – in most cases, you should expect an answer within a few hours tops.

You can also take advantage of WSOP.com NJ's extensive help section, which covers most of the common issues related to banking, registration, games, and bonuses. The answers contained here are very helpful, although we still found it necessary to contact support directly on certain issues pertaining to bonuses and promotions.

Last, but not least, WSOP.com NJ customers can use WSOP's forums to discuss their issues. These forums are monitored by support reps, so you're guaranteed to get a response within a reasonable time-frame.

Overall one of the most responsive and helpful support teams we've had the pleasure of dealing with. Big thumbs up.

WSOP.com NJ poker network

As mentioned above, WSOP.com NJ shares its player pool with 888 Poker NJ, which makes it the second-largest poker network on the ring-fenced New Jersey iGaming market. Please note that some tournaments and low-limit cash games are available exclusively to members of one or the other poker site, so you'll end up with slightly less action than on PokerStars NJ even though traffic numbers are very similar.

The average number of cash game players is usually around 100, but spikes up to 260 during peak hours, particularly on weekends and around major tournaments.

WSOP.com NJ land-based network partners

All regulated iGaming poker sites are required by law to have a local, land-based partner in New Jersey before they can begin offering their services to residents of the Garden State. In WSOP.com NJ's case, this partner is Caesar's Atlantic City, a hotel, casino, and spa resort which belongs to WSOP.com NJ's parent company, Caesar's Entertainment Corporation.

Built in 1979, Caesar's Atlantic City resort is located on 2100 Pacific Avenue and boasts 1,158 hotel rooms as well as over 145,000 square feet in total gaming space. The casino is packed with closer to 3,400 slot games, making it the largest slots venue in the city.

Caesars additionally has a spacious, 24-table poker room. Available games include No-Limit Hold'em and Seven Card Stud. The casino hosts almost daily poker tournaments, and Sit and Go games are available on demand.
