When it comes to NJ gambling news, BetMGM remains the Garden State market leader.
However, BetMGM online casino shared some pretty exciting news just before the June numbers drop. That would be awarding two major New Jersey jackpots totaling nearly $415,000.
The names of the winners were not disclosed.
One player won $174,772 playing the Win Studios-built Mirage Mega Magma. And the other hit for $240,000 on the popular Pragmatic Play Jacks or Better slot title.
BetMGM online casino and ‘life-changing wins’
The combined jackpots mentioned above might are not the biggest ever handed out by BetMGM online casino.
Earlier this year, one BetMGM player from New Jersey won $2.8 million playing Bison Fury.
In reality, when NJ online casino players hit for jackpots exceeding $170,000, they’re all big winners.
“A big congratulations to the latest big winners, we have a great relationship with players in New Jersey and are so pleased to award these prizes,” said Alexander Limesand, director of VIP casino, BetMGM. “BetMGM’s jackpot network is the largest exclusive state-by-state jackpot network in the US and we’re sure our next life-changing win is just around the corner.”
Even with big payouts, BetMGM still No. 1
Looking at NJ online casino revenue, BetMGM and land-based partner Borgata continue producing market-leading results.
According to BetMGM press release, the company currently holds a 30% online casino GGR market share in NJ. And across the US, which includes Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia, BetMGM touts an estimated 29% GGR market share.
Looking at June results released earlier today by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Borgata/BetMGM reported $40.5 million in Internet gaming revenue.
That’s nearly $5 million more than second-place Golden Nugget (led by Golden Nugget online casino).
The Borgata total also includes its namesake and Party casino brands (both BetMGM products). The Pala and Scores brands also factor into the total.
Through the first half of 2022, the Borgata/BetMGM online casino combination has exceeded $241 million in online revenue. That’s a year-over-year increase of 26.7%.
So a $500-million year is well within reach.
And along the way, BetMGM will likely continue paying out jackpots to NJ online slot winners.
