April championship ring winners

In April, New Jersey’s own Yong Keun “LuckySpewy1” Kwon added another ring to his resume. Kwon took down the $100,000 guaranteed and brought home $22,574.

In 2019, Kwon won a WSOP official bracelet event and $165,263 after taking down event #7 in the online series.

Tournament of Champions Million Dollar Freeroll

The May schedule for NJ online poker sets the stage for bigger events ahead.

This summer any player that wins a ring or a bracelet will get an exclusive entry. WSOP is hosting a Tournament of Champions event on July 18th in Las Vegas. This year’s event is moving to Bally’s and  Paris on The Strip.

Players will have a chance at a $1 million freeroll. There is no buy-in to this event. Seats must be earned!

Here is a look at the structure for that event:

  • 11 a.m. starting time
  • 60 minute levels
  • 3 Day Event
  • 30,000 starting stack

Pennsylvania and Michigan players have options for 12 ring events

Aside from the New Jersey events, Pennsylvania and Michigan will have their own separate series this May.

Their combined prizes will be more than $1 million. Pennsylvania and Michigan remain a “ringed-in” market for the time being, but a new compact may change that.

Michigan just released information about combining player pools.
