When Bobby Flay Steak closed at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa last year, it raised a couple questions.
One centered around what will replace the celebrity chef concept that opened in 2006.
If there is something new coming, we don’t know what it will be.
However, if you want to know if Bobby Flay has future Atlantic City plans, we know what they are.
Caesars Entertainment sent out a press release announcing Bobby’s Burgers is opening at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City this summer.
It’s Flay’s fast-casual brand.
“I’m thrilled to bring the flavor and energy of Bobby’s Burgers to Harrah’s Atlantic City,” Flay said in the press release. “The AC crowd has been asking me for well over a decade to bring my burger, fries and shake concept to the city, and I’m happy to announce we have found a home just as we have in Las Vegas with the Caesars family. My goal is to have the entire Jersey Shore eating Bacon Crunchburgers, crispy fries and pistachio shakes for years to come.”
Caesars Entertainment is planning an “early summer” opening.

As far as what to expect once Bobby’s Burgers opens, the “carefully curated menu” will include Flay’s original recipes and classic flavors.
Since “early summer” is still several weeks away, here is a small sampling of what Flay and Harrah’s are cooking up behind the scenes:
- Crunchburger topped with cheese and crispy potato chips
- Bobby Blue + Bacon Burger topped with blue cheese sauce and bacon
- Bobby’s Veggie Burger with barbecue mushrooms, chickpeas, quinoa, lettuce and tomato
Word is the Harrah’s location will offer breakfast options as well.
As far as side options go, look for everything from basic fries to buttermilk onion rings. Ordering toppings (such as cheese and bacon) along with a variety of dipping sauces (ranch, honey mustard-horseradish for the traditionalists or the signature Bobby’s Sauce for the adventurous) will be optional.
Pairing burgers with a vanilla bean, dark chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberry or pistachio milkshake topped with whipped cream might be hard to resist.
Bobby’s Burgers is latest restaurant concept from Caesars Entertainment
When it comes to the Atlantic City casino restaurant scene, Caesars Entertainment is rolling the dice.
And with prime summer season at the Jersey Shore fast approaching, the timing is perfect. For those who have missed all the big announcements, here is the brief recap.
Tropicana Atlantic City is opening eight dining and entertainment offerings. Highlights include:
- Wild Honey Smokehouse and Tavern, BBQ restaurant “celebrating and elevating classic American comfort foods”
- Ossu, a modern Japanese tavern
- Gin Rickey’s, a live music sing-along bar with dueling pianos
Caesars Atlantic City is adding Hell’s Kitchen from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey. Yes, just like the Fox reality TV show.
Nobu, the high-end, Japanese-influenced hotel and restaurant, is the other big Caesars news.
Bobby’s Burgers coming to Atlantic City isn’t surprising being that Flay has three other Las Vegas Strip locations, including one at Caesars Palace.
Atlantic City becoming a ‘leading culinary destination’
John Koster, regional president for Caesars Entertainment’s Eastern Division, said Caesars Entertainment is “thrilled to partner with acclaimed chef Bobby Flay.”
Remember, Caesars is investing $400-million in the Atlantic City market. Sure, upgrading the casino floors and hotel rooms are important, but so is the dining scene.
“Through our capital investment in the market, Caesars Entertainment is committed to furthering Atlantic City’s evolution as a leading culinary destination on the East Coast through strategic partnerships with the world’s top chefs and restaurant brands,” Koster said.
