Thanks to last week’s James HardenBen Simmons trade, the Philadelphia 76ers are a hot topic. Just as Simmons and Harden are preparing to suit up for their new teams, BetMGM launched Sixers blackjack and roulette.

However, this doesn’t mean NBA MVP candidate Joel Embiid will be spending his off days in a BetMGM live dealer studio asking NJ online casino players about hitting on a soft 17. Although it would be rather entertaining. By the way, Embiid’s odds of winning NBA MVP are +550 at BetMGM sportsbook.

That’s a topic for after the NBA All-Star break.

BetMGM, who is an official gaming partner of the 76ers, shared the details of the branded table games via press release.

Garden State gamblers will find Sixers blackjack and roulette on the BetMGM, Borgata and Party apps. Pennsylvania players also have access via Borgata and BetMGM online casinos.

What we know about Sixers blackjack and roulette

76ers roulette features realistic animations, additional neighbor section bets, and a full results interface. 76ers Blackjack is designed with up to five seats and includes popular side bets. Evolution, BetMGM’s live dealer partner, developed both titles. And get this – players are seated in a three-dimensional suite at the Sixers home arena.

Plus, NJ online gamblers can choose the ‘go live’ option. After selecting this option, players are whisked out of the suite, onto the hardwood, and directly into the live version of the game.

The BetMGM online casino tables are even designed with the Sixers team colors.

“We are proud to broaden our partnership with the 76ers, a historic NBA franchise, through the introduction of these new branded roulette and blackjack games,” said Oliver Bartlett, director of gaming, BetMGM. “These games are great additions to BetMGM’s ever growing casino offerings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”

BetMGM-Borgata partnership continues setting records

The Sixers blackjack and roulette rollout is just part of BetMGM’s big week. State regulators released January revenue totals Wednesday afternoon, and it was another record month.

The nine license holders reported $137.8 million. And guess which license holder led the market?

That would be Borgata with $39.1 million. The BetMGM, Borgata and Party online casinos all contributed. Suddenly, the idea of BetMGM/Borgata producing the first $40-million month in NJ online gambling history is looking like a very real possibility.

However, we may not see it happen until March. For one, February is only 28 days versus 31 for January. Secondly, if we look back at 2021 revenue totals, the second month of the year was the only one in which NJ Internet gambling revenue did not surpass $100 million.

Like with Sixers blackjack and roulette, it’s a numbers game.
