It’s no secret Super Bowl commercials are a huge part of the Big Game. And Super Bowl LVI, taking place this Sunday, is no exception.
One of the hot topics at this year’s gatherings is guaranteed to center around the best and worst Super Bowl commercials. It should come as no surprise that Caesars Sportsbook is one of the confirmed advertisers. Call it a historic moment as the 30-second spot will mark the brand’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial.
Caesars Sportsbook Super Bowl commercial teaser
So you’re probably wondering what Hollywood stars and former pro athletes will be appearing in the Caesars Sportsbook spot. After all, the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams is taking place just outside of L.A.
Well, it should come as no surprise that the star-studded cast includes actor and comedian JB Smoove and Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry. They will be joined by “the legendary first family of football,” the Mannings (Archie, Cooper, Eli, Peyton). Those who have watched NFL games throughout the 2022 season are extremely familiar with the current advertisements featuring Caesar (Smoove), Cleopatra (Berry) and their special guests (the Mannings).
According to the press release, this Super Bowl commercial spot will introduce a new installment of Caesars Sportsbook’s popular “Caesar and Cleo” campaign.
However, there is no mention of Carl (portrayed by Patton Oswalt). Maybe he asked one too many questions about Caesars Rewards?
The segment is scheduled to air during the second quarter of Super Bowl LVI. Sorry, PlayNJ does not have an advance clip of the TV spot so you might want to consider scheduling the food and drink break during one of the other quarters.
Telling the Caesars Sportsbook story
Buying TV time during the biggest American sporting event of the year does not come cheap. Published reports have a 30-second spot going for as much as $7 million a pop. Yes, $7 million.
Then again, advertisers are well aware millions of fans across the U.S. will be watching,
So if Caesars Sportsbook is looking to expand its NJ sports betting following, Super Bowl Sunday provides the golden stage.
“We’re an entertainment company first and foremost, but we are also storytellers, and this commercial gives us the unique opportunity to highlight family, fun, and football on the world’s biggest stage. We’re excited to debut the next episode of our iconic campaign and hope it will be the topic of conversation on Monday after the game,” said Sharon Otterman, Chief Marketing Officer of Caesars Digital.
Wait, there is more.
Besides advertising during the Big Game, Caesars Sportsbook is debuting a 30-second commercial featuring Halle Berry. This one will air during another popular Super Bowl weekend event – Puppy Bowl. This one will support Best Friends Animal Society – a nonprofit dedicated to animal rescue and adoption.
The brand’s responsible gaming ad featuring the Mannings will also run, emphasizing the message surrounding the company’s decades-long commitment to responsible gaming.
The Caesars Sportsbook family and band is still growing
If we’re talking big picture online sports betting, there is no doubt the Caesars Sportsbook brand is one of the biggest names out there. Few would argue the brand is part of the big four along with DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM. And you can bet (figuratively speaking) all three companies will have at least one Super Bowl Sunday commercial.
Like the competition, the Caesars Sportsbook product is available in some form in every jurisdiction where sports wagering is legal, New York included. The grand total comes out to 22 states and jurisdictions, 16 of which offer mobile.
As far as the Caesars Sportsbook cast is concerned, Caesar and Cleo paired with the Mannings make up the royal family of sports betting advertising. Judge for yourself during Sunday’s game between the Bengals and Rams.
