Hail to the East. The NFC East has become an NJ sports betting feast for Garden State gamblers.
Take a look at this suddenly-respectable circuit.
The division involving the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Football Team went unbeaten for the first time all season in NFL Week 10.
Granted, the Giants’ bye week contributed, but the other three teams each prevailed by more than a touchdown. And one winner was a substantial dog.
Can NFC East teams parlay it this week?
The 4-6 Eagles seek their elusive first home victory, battling the 5-4 New Orleans Saints after opening as a rare favorite. They are strutting from the 30-13 road pasting they just laid on the Denver Broncos.
Big Blue, riding three straight covers and two out of three moneyline hits as an underdog, plays on the Monday Night Football stage on Nov. 22. The G-Men visit the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were just beaten by Washington. The Giants will be a colossal, double-digit dog, enticing plus-numbers bettors.
The 7-2 Cowboys visit the 6-4 Kansas City Chiefs. Dallas just dumped on the Atlanta Falcons 43-3 and the Chiefs returned to vintage form in pounding the Las Vegas Raiders 41-14.
Washington, 3-7, has a winnable game against the 5-5 Carolina Panthers. The Football Team unfurled a shocker, upsetting Tampa Bay 29-19 at a hefty +9.5 in Week 10.

Eagles versus Saints odds at NJ sportsbooks
Eagles showing life
Nobody predicts the Eagles will win a Super Bowl next year. But this team is beginning to show signs of the 2016 team that went 7-9 just before breaking out the following year.
The Eagles have departed the ranks of bad teams and seek middle-of-the-pack status. Receiver DeVonta Smith has three touchdowns in the last two weeks and is a viable threat. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw lasers to him against the Broncos. The ground game was solid for the second consecutive week.
Will the Eagles, 4-2 on the road, finally prevail at Lincoln Financial Field?
If they do, it will make four straight strong outings.
And they just outgunned the Broncos, who thrashed the Cowboys last week.
This team is heading in the right direction.
What to look for:
The Eagles should continue trying to make Smith the difference-making player they drafted. His recent form would put him in the company of the league’s better receivers.
The question is whether he can cross over into being one of the top players. But one thing is certain. Smith and Hurts are feeling the chemistry. Remember, they were teammates at Alabama.
The Kamara watch
Talented Saints running back Alvin Kamara missed the team’s 23-21 setback against the Tennessee Titans in Week 10 because of a knee sprain.
Watch the NFL betting line throughout the week and see if he practices Wednesday and Thursday. Kamara’s presence will influence the line and the game.
Kamara has 530 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He’s also tallied 32 receptions for 310 yards and four scores. Kamara transforms the team.
He led the NFL with 21 touchdowns in 2020.
This is where the league’s expanded schedule becomes relevant. Star performers are needed for a longer stretch of time. That makes mid-season borderline decisions on an injured player suiting up lean toward caution.
Giants versus Buccaneers odds at NJ sportsbooks
Big Blue returns, will face scuffling Bucs
Yes, Tampa Bay is scuffling, just like in the middle of last season
The Giants are playing their best ball of the season. Victories against the Panthers and Raiders sandwiched around a three-point loss to the Chiefs, has Big Blue bettors happy with the team’s recent performance.
Watch injury reports regarding Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay and others. Devontae Booker has hit a rhythm at running back and the Giants defense has been stout, allowing only 39 points in the last three games and notching a Pick 6.
Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady should be motivated for a big game after the Bucs have lost two straight sandwiched around a bye. Tampa Bay hasn’t won a game since Oct. 24.
Cowboys versus Chiefs odds at NJ sportsbooks
Dallas playing like NFC East leaders again
After flopping as big favorites last week against Denver, the Cowboys piled it on against Atlanta. DraftKings bettors who took the odds boost to +200 for Atlanta having the longest field goal prevailed.
Over bettors who thought the Cowboys would hit the 54 number after a 36-3 halftime lead were disappointed.
But the Cowboys look like themselves again.
Washington versus Carolina odds at NJ sportsbooks
Washington Football Team opening some eyes
Quick, which team has the longest, most-time consuming drive in the NFL this season?
It’s none other than the Washington Football Team, which had a 19 play, game-clinching touchdown drive consuming 10:27 of the clock against Tampa Bay on Sunday. That’s a long time to keep Brady on the bench.
This team, which has struggled in the red zone, scored on all of its first-half possession for the first time in five years.
At the very least, Washington is not a joke.
Washington star lineman Chase Young left the Tampa Bay game with an injury. As far as how much time he misses, if any, will be determined by further testing.
