New Jersey poker players have another online tournament series to play starting this weekend. The partypoker US Network Online Series runs from Oct. 17-24 on the network’s New Jersey sites. The series features nine events across those eight days with guaranteed prize pools totaling $175,000.
Nine events ranging from $20 to $535 to play
The partypoker US Network Online Series will run on all three of the sites on the partypoker US network in New Jersey:
The events mostly feature buy-ins of $109 and $215 with one $20 “Mini” event and a series-ending $535 event with a $50,000 guarantee, the highest of the series.
That $535 buy-in tournament is also the only one on the schedule employing the progressive knockout bounty format. In “PKO” events, half of the prize pool goes toward bounties. Eight of the nine tournaments are no-limit hold’em, with one pot-limit Omaha event also included.

Preregistrations already pushing prize pools over guarantees
It appears New Jersey players are eager to play partypoker US Network Online Series events. Even though the series doesn’t get started until this weekend, many players have preregistered for events already, particularly the first two coming Sunday and Monday.
Sunday’s kickoff event features a $215 buy-in and a $40,000 guarantee, but enough players have preregistered to push the prize pool over $45,000 several days before the event takes place. The second $109 event scheduled for next Monday has also already exceeded its $10,000 guarantee with preregistered players.
The $20 buy-in “Mini” event with a $5,000 guarantee scheduled for the last day of the series has already seen more than 100 players sign up.
That low buy-in event has proven especially popular in similar series in Michigan and Pennsylvania. The BetMGM Online Series in MI and the partypoker US Network Online Series in Pennsylvania have both regularly included a $20 event, and in some cases, the event has drawn enough participation to create prize pools exceeding $40,000.
Partypoker series to compete with events at WSOP NJ, PokerStars NJ
With next week’s series, the New Jersey sites on the partypoker US network hope to compete with events happening at other NJ online poker sites.
While the World Series of Poker plays out in Las Vegas, players at WSOP NJ can compete for gold bracelets from the comfort of their NJ homes. A total of 10 WSOP Online Bracelet events are taking place from Oct. 3-Nov. 21. WSOP NV players in Nevada and WSOP NJ are both eligible to play the events.
Meanwhile at PokerStars NJ, the two-day, $300 buy-in New Jersey Classic returns on Sunday, Oct. 24 to coincide with the conclusion of the partypoker US Network Online Series. The New Jersey Classic at PokerStars NJ will feature a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.
