Atlantic City casinos and New Jersey online sports betting are thriving. January’s revenue report confirms it.
Even so, guess who else is thriving? The NJ online casino customer.
In the first six weeks of 2020, over $10 million in jackpots were paid to NJ casino gamblers.
Are your favorite casinos and slots on the list? Let’s take a look.
NJ slots create a new multimillionaire
The Division of Gaming Enforcement collects Atlantic City data on jackpots over $50,000 for retail and online slot machines in New Jersey.
The recent AC slot report, which was updated on Feb. 15, shows 71 jackpot winners, including one brand-new multimillionaire.
On Jan. 19, a Wheel of Fortune slot player, who was playing 1 cent at Bally’s, now has all the pennies after collecting over $2.5 million.
Additionally, 20 slot players took home six-digit paydays in the first weeks of the new year. Three of those six were for more than $500,000.
Among AC casinos, Bally’s paid out the most in jackpots, sending over $3 million home with its slot players.
Borgata was also generous, paying out more than $2.8 million to both its land-based and online slot customers.
We combined retail and online slot play to determine the following payouts per casino:

The most generous NJ online slots
It seems as if Divine Fortune is in the news every week, making an online casino customer happy.
Well, in the first six weeks, Divine Fortune players hit a jackpot of $50,000 or more five times for a total of $643,499.
It is the Wheel of Fortune slot that paid out the most, though. In addition to the $2.5 million jackpot, Bally’s also paid out an additional $424,297 to a Wheel of Fortune player.
Other liberal slots in NJ include:
- Game King Double Double Bonus Poker: $1,680,000
- Top Dollar: $316,200
- Triple Double Diamond: $386,000
Live online slots at Hard Rock
The results to date do not include any jackpots over $50,000 on the newly unveiled live slots at Hard Rock’s online casino. Hard Rock did payout two jackpots, but none were on the live online slot machines.
The report was last updated on Feb. 15; the live slots launched on Feb. 11.
There are 12 online live slots that include the following games:
- Lepre’coins
- Buffalo, Spitfire Multipliers
- Hotter than Blaze
- 3x4x4x Double Times Pay
Unlike other online slots, there is only one player per machine for live slot play online.
The DGE is set to update the Atlantic City slots jackpot list at the first of the month.
It will be interesting to see if the online live slots produce a big winner right away, or if they will keep us waiting.
