Resorts Atlantic City

Resorts Atlantic City

Resorts opened in May 1978 as Atlantic City’s first legal casino. While most of its early competitors have since folded, Resorts has survived at its Boardwalk location for more than 40 years.

Resorts offers a classic feel. The property does show some age, but it is not as beat up as some of the Atlantic City casinos that did not make it this far. It has managed to stay open during the financial struggles of Atlantic City, which is now on an upswing.

Resorts Atlantic City Casino

Live Double Zero Roulette has la partage, which means even-money bets receive half-back if the ball lands on a zero. Craps offers 3-4-5 times odds. The field bet pays double on 12.

There is not much in the way of good video poker at Resorts.

The best is 8/5 Bonus Poker. It is spread in quarter, half-dollar and dollar machines throughout the casino. Most Atlantic City casinos offer at least full-pay Jacks or Better, which is not available at Resorts.

Resorts Atlantic City’s Star Card program

There are four tiers in the Star Card program: Epic, Paramount, Paramount Plus, and Red Carpet.

The formula used to compute points at Resorts is a bit of a mystery. It is based on the theoretical hold of the game, size of the bet and length of play. This is typical for table games.

However, Resorts also uses this to determine slot and video poker points. Cashback expires after 72 hours for players at the base tier. Epic members and above have two months to spend their cashback before it expires.

Online gambling at Resorts

Resorts hosts its own self-branded NJ online casino along with a selection of sister sites from gambling partnerships including DraftKings and The Stars Group/Fox Bet. All sites listed below are regulated by the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement:

There are six room trims at Resorts. Rates vary greatly depending on the day of week and time of year.

Hotel rooms start around $59 per night during the week for the deluxe king. A king premier or deluxe queen with two beds is about $10 more. A junior suite king is about $30 more, with the junior suite queen with two beds being $50 more. The executive suite tends to be about triple the base rate.

Weekend rates can climb as high as five times the offseason ones. For example, a summer base room can start about $350 per night. Suites tend to be about $100 more.

The resort fee is $17.08 per night with tax.
